EL BOSQUE DE PIEDRAS “HATUN MACHAY”
(Full day)
Hatun Machaya is a Quechua name that means "The Great Cave", and is one of the most impressive geological attractions in the Ancash region. You can see archeological sites (its age has not been confirmed) around the forest around the forest; this site expresses the magic of these rock formations that has attracted the attention of people for thousands of years. Some local people linked to witchcraft, consider this was a spiritually place very important to our Andean ancestors. Some figures carved in stone in side the cave of animals and men that evoke extraterrestrials images seem to confirm this. |
